100 Pet Portraits Challenge

Am I crazy or what?! Last year I completed the 100 Fur Faces challenge focusing only on dog and cat paintings. This year my challenge will be open to all pet types! I will paint 100 different pets on 6x6 panel boards in 96 days. Be a part of this project by sending me a picture of your pet and if you choose to purchase it, the promo price is $55! Funds from sales will be going towards my school tuition at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA.

The project will start on April 1st and I will paint until July 5th. The whole 100 Pet Portraits will be on display at the Schwitzer Gallery at Circle City Industrial Complex in Indianapolis, IN.

To participate, please send me via email, Facebook message or Instagram a clear photo of your dog or cat’s face. Only clear, close up photo's will be accepted, one submission per person.

GIVEAWAY! Of the 100 photo's, I'll do a drawing and give one lucky winner a free pet portrait! Share and tell your friends!

Frequently Asked Questions

Whose pets? Your pet's clear photo emailed or tagged to @noftsier_art on instagram or Amanda Noftsier on facebook. By submitting a photo you are giving me permission to create a painting from the photo for display and sale.

How much will it cost?  $55 for the 6x6 oil painting + tax(for IN residents only) & shipping. If you are local I'm happy to arrange a pickup!

Wait, what’s your name? I am Amanda King, I paint with my maiden name Noftsier.

What is the incentive? Help fund my art education by sending your photo, sharing my project and you receive promo price for the original 6x6 painting of your photo for participating in the project!

What if I don’t want the painting? You are not obligated to buy the original painting or any other item from me. This is an opportunity to participate in an artists challenge with the added incentive of a discount off original artwork (the biggest incentive an artist can give!).

When do I get my painting? The first week of August 2019 all purchased paintings will be shipped via USPS to US residents with shipping and handling charged to buyer. International shipping options will be considered.

Where can I see them displayed? Opening reception will be on July 5th at the Schwitzer Gallery in Indianapolis IN.

Why are you doing this? For the challenge, for the love of animals, square shapes, to push me out of my comfort zone, to meet more animal lovers…. only good things can happen!

Why can’t I get my painting right away? The answer is twofold. First, these paintings are being created for a gallery show. Secondly they will need time to dry before shipping to their forever homes. I appreciate your patience during the long wait by providing a promo price for original artwork purchase.

Why was my photo rejected? I want to honor your pet and to do so I need the best, clearest photo of them. If you have submitted a blurry, old, full body photo or unfocused, just try taking the photo again. Some animals require a two person photography team and many treats, you can make it fun! If your pet is no longer in your life, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Send me a few more photo's and if possible I will attempt to create a likeness.
